3 Diabetic Friendly Desserts

3 Diabetic Friendly Desserts - theskinnyfoodco

Do you suffer from Diabetes? We get asked every single day whether or not our products are suitable for different lifestyles and diets and the answer is, YES! We understand how hard it is to find diabetic-friendly sweet treats and dishes, which is why we are here today to deliver you with three diabetic-friendly desserts that’ll be sure to go down a treat.

We have teamed up with Eva Copper, The Student Chef, and she has created us three delightful puddings using Skinny Food Co products. If you want to see Eva in action, see below on our YouTube channel, but in the meantime, here’s how you can recreate these masterpieces:

  1. Chocolate Banana Bread

First up, we have our beloved Banana Bread Mix. Our banana bread is a source of protein, source of fibre, 0% palm oil, soy-free, vegetarian-friendly & of course, extremely low in calories and sugar.

All you will need for this recipe is:

-Our Low Sugar Banana Bread Mix

-2 Large Eggs

-20ml Oil

-160ml Water

-Low Sugar Chocaholic Chocolate Hazelnut Flavoured Spread

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven (180°C/160°C Fan/350°F/Gas Mark 4) and line your loaf tin with parchment paper.
  2. Add low sugar cake mix, 2 large Eggs, 20ml oil + 160ml water to a bowl. Mix the ingredients until well blended. Spread evenly into your parchment-lined tin.
  3. Bake in the centre of the oven for 22-24 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Drizzle or slather over our low sugar chocolate spread for the perfect chocolatey, hazelnut topping

2. Brownuts

Secondly, we have our Low Calorie Brownie Mix. Our brownie mix is a source of protein, high in fibre, 100% natural in flavours and colourings, palm oil free, soy free, vegetarian-friendly and again, low in calories and sugar.

All you will need for this recipe is:

-Low Sugar Brownie Mix

-1 Egg

-110ml Water

-20ml Oil

-Cream Cheese

-Zero Calorie Vanilla Cheesecake Drops

-Low Sugar Chocaholic Duo Spread

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven (180°C/160°C Fan/350°F/Gas Mark 4).
  2. Spray the doughnut tin with our Low Calorie Cooking Spray.
  3. Mix the cream cheese in with our Zero Calorie Flavour Drops. Add brownie mix, 1 egg, 110ml water, cream cheese mixture + 20ml oil to a bowl. Mix the ingredients until well blended. Spread evenly into each circular section of the tin.
  4. Bake in the centre of the oven for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in one of the doughnuts comes out with moist crumbs attached.
  5. Transfer the brownuts to the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This makes them extra fudgy!
  6. Lastly, smother on some of our Low Sugar Chocolate Spread.

Fruity Pizza

Lastly, we have a fruity pizza. This dessert is made using one of our FakeAway® Low Calorie Pizza Bases. Our Pizza Bases are so low in calorie that per slice, they’re only 39 cals!

You will need the following for a Fruity Pizza:

-Low Calorie Pizza Base

-Cream Cheese

-Original Creamer

-Fruit of your choice

Directions:

  1. Cook the pizza base as directed. Mix the cream cheese with our Zero Calorie Creamer.
  2. Spread the cheesy mixture all over the base, before topping with all different kinds of fruit. Eva has used blueberries, strawberries, oranges and raspberries.
