American Style Pancakes FAQs

  • Why are my American-style pancakes not fluffy?

The trick to making the best American-style fluffy pancakes, is not to over-mix, if your pancake batter is over-mixed then you will result in a relatively average pancake,  which can be flat & chewy.

  • How long should you cook a pancake before flipping it?

An easy way to tell if your pancake is ready to flip is to wait till the bubbles start appearing on the upward-facing side. Once you can see bubbles formulating on the top your pancake has set and is ready to be flipped.
