Rocky Road is an absolute classic, but often packed with sugar and super high in calories! So we decided how about we make a Rocky Road recipe that fits with your goals? If you're wanting something sweet, chocolatey and you love marshmallows, then you're going to love these bars! Higher in protein, lower in sugar and lower in calories, these are going to tick all your boxes if you're wanting a healthier snack or dessert!
Makes 9 bars
You will need:
- 200g dark chocolate
- 50g rich tea biscuits
- 50g marshmallows
- 30g sultanas
- 10 drops SFC Chocolate Heaven Flavour Drops
- 90g Maltesers Protein Powder
- 15ml melted coconut oil
Rocky Road Protein Recipe
1. Take a square baking tin and line with parchment paper
2. In a bowl, break up your rich tea biscuits into bite size chunks (don't crush them too much, you don't want biscuit dust!)
3. In a large mixing bowl, add in your biscuit chunks, marshmallows, sultanas and mix altogether
4. In a separate bowl, pop your dark chocolate chunks in and place in the microwave in 20 seconds bursts, stirring gently in between, until all the chocolate has melted
5. Once the chocolate has fully melted, add your Chocolate Heaven Flavour Drops and Maltesers Protein Powder and stir through until fully combined
6. Next add in your coconut oil and stir through until fully combined
7. Pour your chocolate protein mix over the biscuits, marshmallows and sultanas and mix through until everything is fully coated
8. Pour the rocky road mix into the tin and refrigerate for 4 hours until it is fully set.
9. Once set, slice into 9 bars, serve and enjoy! The perfect protein snack or dessert!
