Toffee Apple Baked Crumpets
These delicious toffee apple baked crumpets are just the best! If you haven't got to work in the kitchen yet with our zero sugar, Bonfire Toffee Barista Syrup, then get your bake on because it's the perfect ingredient for Autumn! Paired with delicious soft apple, moorish baked crumpets, and our incredible low sugar Toffee Chocaholic Spread, this recipe can be used for breakfast or dessert!
Serves 1
What you will need:
- 2 crumpets
- 1 small apple
- 1 large egg
- 50ml milk
- 10ml Skinny Food Co Bonfire Toffee Barista Syrup
- 20ml Skinny Food Co Butterscotch Syrup
- 20g Skinny Food Co Toffee Chocaholic Spread
How to make:
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees
2. Next core and dice your apple into equal sized little chunks and pop into the microwave for 1 minute just to soften slightly
3. Take a single serve oven proof dish and using scissors cut up your crumpets into bite sized chunks and layer in the dish
4. Now sprinkle the chopped apple over the top
5. In a jug, beat your egg, add the milk and Bonfire Toffee Barista Syrup and whisk together
6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the crumpets and apple
7. Bake the crumpets in the oven for 20 minutes
8. Whilst you allow the crumpets to cool slightly, melt your Toffee Chocaholic Spread a little in the microwave (for only a few seconds) so that it becomes runnier and easier to drizzle
9. Drizzle over your Butterscotch Syrup and Toffee Chocaholic Spread, serve and enjoy!
