First Off Let's Talk About Salmon
As we mentioned, for this recipe we've used smoked salmon, as it pairs well with the delicious sriracha sauce and offers an oaked flavour. However, if you're not keen on smoked salmon, there are countless ways to enjoy prepared salmon with this dish.
You could try using:
- Flaky Salmon - Using tin salmon is just as easy as using smoked, it offers a less rich taste and is also far cheaper when considering the cost of the ingredients.
- Salmon Fillet - If you've got some leftover salmon from last night's meal lying around then this is the perfect lunchtime snack to use up and reduce food waste
- Honey Sriracha Salmon - If however, you'd like to make this meal a little more extravagant, then you can cook your own salmon filet, after marinating it in our sriracha sauce with some lemon juice. You can then top the salmon on thins or even salmon bagels for the luxurious salmon dish you're searching for.
Don't want to use this? Why not try...
This salmon recipe is best used for light lunches and snacks, but if you're looking to bulk out your meal or have something slightly larger at lunch then there are countless ways you can add to this delicious salmon recipe to make it work for you and the entire family.
- Salmon Bagels - Instead of using thins, why not exchange them for bagels, the salmon bagel recipe is exactly the same as the thins, just swap out the thins for some low-carb bagels or even bagel thins.
- Salmon Rice Bowl - Made with some white rice (or brown rice) you can add a Tsp rice vinegar to the dish to make it a healthy evening meal. Cook your salmon fillet in our Sriracha Sauce, mixed with a tbsp of soy sauce, and once cooked flake in the cream cheese mixture. Enjoy with a wedge of life and some sesame seeds.
