Before you begin: You’ll need the following appliances & accessories: 1 Large Mixing Bowl, 1 Large Skillet, Cling Film & light chopping board
Ingredients
- 1 medium-sized lettuce
- 1 medium red onion
- 1 large beef tomato
- 1 green chilli
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 medium pickles (sliced)
- 250g 5% fat lean beef mince
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 pack Skinny Food Co X Eddie Hall Thins
- 4 slices Mexican-spiced cheese slices
- Eddie Hall American Burger Sauce
The Method
Step 1: Prepare your veggies, shredding the lettuce, chopping the onion & chilli & slicing the tomato and pickles, then set aside.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, mix together the mince, paprika, egg yolk, green chilli, garlic, salt & pepper.
Step 3: Divide the mince mixture into 4 medium-sized meatballs
Step 4: Using a large pre-heated skillet, place one of the balls in the centre of the pan, cover with a square piece of foil and using a spatula press down, flattening as much as possible. Remove the foil, after 2 -3 minutes flip the burger cooking the other side. Layer a slice of cheese on the cooked burger side and repeat with the remaining meatballs.
Step 5: Assemble the burger - taking the BEAST American Burger Sauce, spread it across the burger thins, layering lettuce, tomato, two beef patties, red onions & pickles and finally topping with some extra sauce.
