Low Calorie Spaghetti Bolognese

Low Calorie Spaghetti Bolognese - theskinnyfoodco

Low-calorie meals are becoming increasingly popular in this day and age, with an endless amount of alternative substitutes for products from a wide variety of nut-blend milks to cauliflower rice. Pasta dishes are a nation's favourite dinner in the UK, with a variety of traditional pasta meals from Bolognese to carbonara to homemade family recipes.

Today we'll be taking a look at how to take a classic British favourite, spaghetti Bolognese, and transform it into a Skinny meal for the whole family, without compromising on flavour.

How to make a low-carbohydrate Spaghetti Bolognese recipe

A low-carbohydrate meal is one that has less than 20 grams of carbohydrates per serving. To reduce the amount of carbs in our meal we could simply cut back on pasta. However, pasta isn't bad for us! In fact, whole grain pasta is actually beneficial for our health. Whole grains contain fibre, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals. They're also easier to digest than white flour pasta.

So instead of cutting out pasta altogether, here's a quick and simple way to make a low-carb spaghetti Bolognese sauce and pair it with our low-carb spaghetti

Gluten-free Spaghetti Bolognese

If you suffer from celiac disease, wheat allergy, or any other form of gluten intolerance, then you need to avoid gluten. Gluten is found in foods made from wheat including bread, cakes, cookies, crackers, pizza crust, and many other things.

To ensure your family enjoys healthy meals while avoiding gluten, why not try our low-carb spaghetti, its completely gluten-free. Making your midweek meal that much easier to cook - simply heat for 2-3 minutes alongside your fresh herbs & tomato sauce.
