Gluten Free Meatballs
Spaghetti & meatballs is an absolute classic and tastes oh so delicious, yet if you need to follow a gluten free diet, you often end up missing out! So we are bringing to you a gorgeous easy recipe that anyone can enjoy, that is made using our incredible Spaghetti Noodles and Vegan Shaker which are completely gluten free! It's an Italian classic that we're putting back on the menu!
Serves 2
What you will need:
- 20 10% fat mini beef meatballs (check they're gluten free)
- 1 can tomato passata
- 1 finely diced red onion
- 2 packets of Skinny Food Co Spaghetti Noodles
- 30g Skinny Food Co Vegan Shaker
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1tsp Skinny Food Co Garlic & Herb Marinade
- Few sprays of Skinny Food Co Sunflower Oil
How to make Gluten Free Meatballs:
1. Spray your frying pan with the oil and get up to a medium heat
2. Add in your meatballs and cook for 10-15 minutes, constantly turning them to ensure all sides are browned and they are fully cooked
3. Once the meatballs are almost cooked, add in your diced onion and fry off until soft and golden
4. Now add your passata and Garlic & Herb Marinade and stir through all of the meatballs and onion, allowing the sauce to simmer gently
5. Drain and rinse your Spaghetti Noodles in cold water before adding to a pan of boiling water and let them simmer for 1 minute before draining
6. Remove your meatballs from the sauce and set to one side, keeping them warm
7. Add your Spaghetti Noodles to the sauce and stir through until they are coated before equally serving into 2 pasta dishes
8. Top the Spaghetti Noodles with your meatballs, shake over your Vegan Shaker and garnish with fresh basil
9. Serve and enjoy!
