The Skinny Food Co Raises over £10,000 for Notts YMCA
As part of the ongoing partnership between The Skinny Food Co and Nottinghamshire YMCA, so far The Skinny Food Co have raised £10,553 for the local YMCA.
None of this would have been possible without the amazing Skinny Food Co customers through ‘rounding up’ orders on our website and making a donation.
The Nottinghamshire YMCA has been supporting the local community for 150 years by promoting mind, body and spirit. Their range of programmes aim to support local individuals, families and communities to improve health and wellbeing for all.
Their services include providing housing to support homeless young people and vulnerable adults across Nottinghamshire, managing a 24-hour YMCA Gym and running affordable childcare services along with young people’s programmes.
James, Co-Founder and Director of the Skinny Food Co said: “It’s a real privilege and honour to be in partnership with the Nottinghamshire YMCA and be able to raise money for such a fantastic cause. The Nottinghamshire YMCA has made a huge impact in the local community and here at the Skinny Food Co we want to give back for everything they do.”
Jo Bradley-Fortune, Director of Corporate Development and Fundraising at Nottinghamshire YMCA, said: “Our shared mission of promoting healthy living for all within our local communities is a fantastic unifier, and we are deeply grateful for The Skinny Food Co empowering customers to make meaningful social change through their online purchases.
“The fantastic amount raised so far will go a long way towards helping young people to belong, contribute and thrive in our local community.
“Physical and psychological nourishment maintained through a balanced diet, exercise and emotional support is something that many of us often take for granted. For our formerly homeless residents living in YMCA’s supported accommodation, these important life elements have not always been readily available, and so we really hope customers will give what they can and help us to support our community’s most vulnerable members to lead healthier lifestyles.”
The whole team at The Skinny Food Co would like to thank our customers for helping us to raise an amazing amount of money for an incredible cause!
