3 Savoury Recipes for Christmas!

 

We just can't stop creating some amazing low calorie recipes for Christmas! This time we're sharing some perfect snacks for your socially distanced office and family Christmas parties! 

Prosciutto and Mozzarella Sticks

Makes 12 

You will need:

1 120g pack of mozzarella pearls (drained weight)

6 slices of Prosciutto ham (halved)

12 basil leaves

12 cocktail sticks 


1. Take your basil leaves and mozzarella balls and stick a cocktail stick through them both.
2. Wrap the other side of the basil leaf over the mozzarella balls.
3. Cutting the Prosciutto Ham in half width ways, fold this up into bit size pieces and add to the end of the cocktail stick.

We've served these with our delicious Zero Calorie Garlic Mayo as an amazing dip.

These are only 44 calories per stick! These also contain only 0.4 grams of carbs, 3.3grams of fat and 3.7 grams of protein! 


Greek Style Pitta Bites

Makes 6

You will need:

2 white pitta breads

14 cherry tomatoes

1/2 a red onion 

20g feta cheese

1 tsp SFC Garlic & Herb Marinade

30ml SFC Garlic & Herb sauce 



1. Dice your red onion and basil leaves, and chop your cherry tomatoes into small pieces.
2. Mix these in a bowl and add 30ml of Skinny Food Co Garlic and Herb Sauce and 1 teaspoon of Skinny Food Co Garlic and Herb Marinade.
3. Chop your pittas into three and generously add the vegetable mix on top.
4. Crumble the feta cheese and add this on top to garnish.

There are only 72 calories per bite! They also contain 12.7 grams of carbs, 1 gram of fat and 2.7 grams of protein. 

Tomato Bruschetta

 

Makes 12

You will need: 

1 270g ciabatta loaf

12 yellow cherry tomatoes

12 red cherry tomatoes

1 bunch of basil leaves

100ml SFC Sriracha Sauce

1 tsp SFC Smoked Paprika 

 

1. Chop your ciabatta loaf into 12 slices and place on a baking tray in the oven at 200 degrees for around 2 and a half minutes
2. Take both tomatoes and chop these into quarters.
3. Add these into a bowl along with chopped basil leaves and then add 1 teaspoon of Skinny Food Co Smoked Paprika and 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper and mix!
4. Add a couple of sprays of cooking oil to the mix
5. When the ciabatta is toasted, add a squirt of our Skinny Food Co Sriracha Sauce on each slice and spread.
6. Add a spoonful of the vegetable mix on each and serve.

These are 61 calories per slice - they also contain 12grams of carbs, 0.3grams of fat and 2g of protein per slice!
